The vehicle also comes with a 12 inch touch screen, advanced torque vectoring and amazing infotainment system. Let's go straight into the review of the 2020 Toyota Highlander

The 2020 Toyota Highlander is one of the best things to happen this year in the automobile industry. The Highlander which has always been a toast of many in Nigeria has always maintained certain standards like - fuel economy, high performance, off road adaptability, driver assistance and other safety systems.

The only thing is that it's smaller than its competitors. But it definitely comes with a V6 engine and a hybrid trim level that comes in an efficient, high performance 4-wheel drive. The vehicle also comes with a 12 inch touch screen, advanced torque vectoring and amazing infotainment system. Let's go straight into the review of the 2020 Toyota Highlander.

The 2020 Toyota Highlander is quite the expected upgrade from the previous version

2020 Toyota Highlander Interior and Technology

There are a lot of similarities between the 2020 Highlander and the 2019 version of the model. But the 2020 version definitely paid a lot more attention to detail. The mid dash shelf has now been divided in this recent version, so you have one half on the front passenger side and another half just tight under the controls stack

You will also notice that the interior seems to be more grippy, as it tends to keep items in place. There're 3 USB ports in front and some at the back seat - although there's none in the mid row. The bin in the console at the center is also covered and the made to be thicker for the driver to rest their arms comfortably.

Driving this 2020 Highlander, you don't need to worry about your entertainment

The 2020 Toyota Highlander also allows you use several car apps like Waze, Amazon Alexa, Android auto and Carplay by Apple. There's also in-car Wi-Fi and satellite radio. It's obvious this vehicle was made to actually assist a driver in every way possible. The touchscreen is quite wide and allows you combine both navigation assistance with infotainment.

2020 Toyota Highlander space for passengers

The Toyota Highlander was made to be bigger and more spacious than the RAV4 and the Venza. The extra row of seat even boosts it's ability to contain much cargo. Trust Nigerians to mainly convert the third row seat from passenger seat to luggage space. Though the 2020 Highlander isn't as roomy as those of some of its competitors, it can go head to head with the Mazda CX 9 and the Kia Sorento.

Passengers in the front or in the middle will enjoy plenty of legroom

The car has a lot of leg room especially in the mid row and in front. People at the back might feel a bit claustrophobic due to how "close to the ground"  the third row is. But all in all, it's quite a big SUV. Definitely not compact but just about the same size as a venza would have been if it was made this year.

2020 Toyota Highlander Fuel economy and Performance

The 2020 Toyota Highlander allows for two options when it comes to the powertrain engine. The standard one which uses mainly has is expected to put out 22 miles per gallon, 263 pound feet of torque and almost 300 horsepower. It's a 3.5 liter V6 engine that can also be found in the recent Chevrolet Traverse and Ford Explorer. However, a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine is what the hybrid version of the 2020 Highlander comes with. This hybrid version also boasts 34 miles per gallon (6 mpg higher than previous versions), 240 HP, a rear axle that comes with a third motor and a pair of electric motors that helps power the front wheels.

Good thing generally with the 2020 Highlander is that it's a high performance and fuel economy vehicle.
