Some of the spectacular features in the build of this new Toyota Hilux Tonka includes; a very powerful engine (2.8L, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel), SR5 double cab, huge tyres (35-inch diameter), heavy-duty suspension, and high-riding axle combined with over 150mm ground clearance. Nicholas Hogios the Chief of product design was recently commenting on this new Toyota Hilux Tonka, he said;

“We have taken Tonka out of the sand pit and reinvented Hilux from top to bottom and from nose to tail, inspired by the Tonka trucks that kids play with in their backyards, the Hilux Tonka Concept goes way beyond the already hugely capable abilities of Hilux to traverse rocks and other rugged terrain. The Hilux Tonka Concept is dramatic evidence that our local team loves to have fun, we’re keen to explore new ideas and we’re always looking to push the boundaries of what’s possible”

It's been a long time we have been able to see beauty combined with beast features in a single truck like we have in this mind-boggling Toyota Hilux Tonka. Previous trucks we have seen would pack monster features but lack a gorgeous outlook/presentation while others would be attractive in their exterior but lack the beast features of a truck. The car manufacturing company Toyota has designed and came up with this all-new Toyota Hilux Tonka concept to celebrate the 70^th anniversary of Tonka as well as their very own 80^th anniversary. Some other notable features in this Toyota Hilux Tonka includes; a 6mm-thick alloy, rugged bush plate protection for its delicate components, side rails (tubular) to protect the chassis & body, excellent night vision high-performance LED lighting (off road), and many others.
