Not only is it's appearance more compact, the turbocharged engine with 3 cylinders will be included as the base powertrain for this 2020 model. As compared to the latest Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4, the 2020 Escape stacks up quite some good numbers. Here's a quick review of its amazing exterior and interior features.

2. Design of 2020 Ford Escape
As compared to other SUVs, the 2020 Ford Escape is a lot more wider and taller, with a wheelbase much longer than those of its competitors. Other SUVs have a block exterior design while that of the Escape is a lot more curvy. This idea is to make it appear small while it can actually accommodate much cargo.
This version of Ford Escape focuses on its length and curves
Talking about cargo, the 2020 Ford Escape has just enough cargo space as a Toyota RAV4. Thanks to the long wheelbase, there's enough legroom in the front seat - although a few inches less at the back. Though the roofline may appear sloped, it actually has more head room at the back - compared to other SUVs. The fact that it's also detachable, makes it more awesome.
You can be rest assured about the cargo space on 2020 Ford Escape
The 2020 Ford Escape model comes with the co-pilot360 suite. This technology combines the Bling Spot Information System, rear view camera, sensors and emergency brake transmission which assists the driver in many ways. The Escape also has a 4G LTE Wi-Fi and touchscreen infotainment system. This screen is 8 inches and larger than what's obtainable in competitor brands.

3. Engine performance & Fuel economy of 2020 Ford Escape
As stated earlier, the latest Ford Escape comes with turbocharged engine with 3 cylinders of 180 horsepower cumulatively. This gives you an option of 4 powertrains. Many SUVs come with no upgrade engine or sometimes a 200-hp 2.5 liter four powertrains. But this new Escape has a 2.0 liter turbocharged Four, with 250-hp. If this doesn't pump your adrenaline already, what else will?
Also to add, the 2020 Ford Escape has two hybrid powertrains. One is a plug-in hybrid with an all-electric driving range of 30 miles, front-wheel drive and 209-hp; and another hybrid powertrain of 198-hp.
The good thing about this hybrid engines is that it enables the Escape tow up to 700kg of weight. While with a much larger turbocharged engine, you can tow twice that amount of weight.

Fuel economy is another important feature to consider when making any car purchase and the 2020 Ford Escape model doesn't fall short as compared to its rivals from Honda and Toyota. With an average car running on about 25 miles per gallon (mpg), the Escape offers a high 41 mpg in the city. Which will definitely save you cost of visiting the fuel station regularly.
4. How much is a 2020 Ford Escape in Nigeria?
The 2020 Ford Escape is expected to be made available for purchase soon, and the suggested retail price would range from ₦9 million to ₦15 million. However, this price does not include delivery fees or custom clearing cost yet. That's why you should budget about ₦18 million to be on a safer side, including importation into Nigeria.
