2020 Lamborghini Sian – the first-ever electric “Lambo” supercar

For those that might be wondering what the name “Sian” means; it’s actually a native Bolognese Italian word translated to mean “lightning” or “flash” in the English language. From the name, it is pretty obvious that this new electric supercar is meant to be a complete speed “demon” on the road.

This new 2020 Lamborghini Sian is designed specifically with a Verde Gea (green) exterior and an interior detailed in Electrum (electric gold). This design clearly visualizes a future of electrified Lamborghini vehicles and the underlining dealership of the automaker’s constant striving for becoming the highest executor of materials and colour.

The internal design of this 2020 Sian is perfectly complemented by the exterior’s special multilayer colour paint that contains golden crystals and golden flakes.

For the first time ever in any production car, the interior of the 2020 Sian implements 3D printed parts and it’s impressively executed in "Terra di Sant’Agata Bolognese" with the featured leather from Poltrona Frau.

The uniqueness of the 2020 Lamborghini Sian’s exterior perfectly complements its special interior design

When you look closely at the new electric Sian, you will be right to say that it shares quite a lot of similarities with the petrol-powered Lamborghini Aventador, however, this new electric Sian is still as unique as it can be.

The 2020 Sian draws power from the same 6.5-Liter naturally aspirated V12 engine of the Lamborghini Aventador but adds a fantastic hybrid motor to the picture to attain a rated 819hp.

This engine is then mated with a powerful 7-speed automated type of manual gearbox to achieve an output of 0-60mph acceleration in just 2.8secs and a 218mph (350km/h) top speed; thereby making it the fastest Lambo of all time by records now.

The 2020 Lamborghini Sian hybrid-electric supercar is now the fastest production Lambo

The hybrid power of this new Sian is supplied by a 48-volt E-motor that delivers a 34hp total output but professionally incorporated into the Sian’s gearbox in such a way that it provides improved performance and immediate response in the supercar.

This is the first time of seeing such setup in any automaker’s low-voltage hybrid, where there is a direct connection made between the wheels and the featured electric motor. This motor in the Sian also totally supports any form of low-speed manoeuvres like parking and reversing with electrical power.

Interesting enough, there is absolutely no Li-ion battery pack onboard this new 2020 Lamborghini Sian. Yes, all of its electric juice comes totally from an inbuilt supercapacitor. This is a type of setup that the automaker has begun using since the year 2011 even in their traditional Aventador models for running the big starter motors of their supercars.
