22/08/2019

Finally, Audi is offering a wagon in the US and it's coming as the RS 6 Avant and packing 592 hp.

Audi is always known to produce high-performance wagons, so we aren't surprised that the company has rolled out the 2020 RS 6 Avant, which will be making it's public appearance at Frankfurt.

Specs gathered by Naijacarnews says the new RS 6 Avant is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 592 hp(441 kW/600 PS) and a torque of 590 lb-ft (800 Nm). It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that's known to transfer power to a Quattro AWD system. With this, the wagon can sprint from 0-62 mph (100 km) in just 3.6 seconds while the top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

The drive select system came with six different modes which comprise comfort, auto, efficiency and dynamic. There’s more; The new wagon has two distinctive modes named RS1 and RS2. They are configured separately and pressing the RS mode button found on the steering will automatically pull them up.

The mode's styling draws some cues from the S6 and A6 Avant but also has some changes. To start with, the 2020 RS 6 is fitted with a noticeable Singleframe grille adorned in gloss black and polished mesh. Also evident is a silver splitter, bulging hood, and massive air intakes.
