2020 Cadillac XT6 price disclosed: up to N26m for a fully loaded unit

The standard version of the 2020 Cadillac XT6 has already been a wonder, how about its fully loaded version?

If you are thinking of buying one of the 2020 cars for yourself, you should be able to prepare your mind to drop a whole lot of money. Such case is not different with Cadillac XT6 which its starting price is way over what an average income earner could afford to drop in Nigeria.  Infact, it is believed that the XT6 will be costlier than cars in the same category such as the Acura MDX and Infiniti QX60. By financial implication, it is getting close to the more expensive upmarket competitors such as the BMW X5 and Audi Q7.

Cadillac has announced pricing for its new three-row XT6 SUV, which starts at $53,690 for the base Premium Luxury trim level and ranges up to $73,740 for a fully loaded all-wheel-drive Sport trim. These prices make the Cadillac costlier than similar rivals such as the Acura MDX and Infiniti QX60, placing it closer to more powerful and luxurious competitors such as the Audi Q7, BMW X5, and Lincoln Aviator. The XT6 is scheduled to go on sale within the next few months.

Cadillac is quite ambitious with its price tag which ranges from $50,000 (~N18m) to over $70,000 (~N25m) on its latest XT6 with availability of all options. With its two trim levels such as Premium Luxury and Sport. The good news is that these two are coming with a standard 3.6L V6 engine with the ability of cranking out 310hps along with a 9-speed automatic transmission. All models now will wear a “400” designation in accordance to Cadillac’s new toque based engine.

Whether you are picking Premium Luxury or Sport trim, just know you are in for an exotic treat!

To get a front wheel drive of the Premium Luxury, you should expect at least $53,690 (₦19.2 million) for the entry level. That is 8,400 dollars higher than similar products such as the Acura MDX and Infiniti QX60 which are cheaper but smaller in size. However, if you are thinking of going for the standard version of this new Cadillac, you may not get desirable products options. Disappointing enough, It lacks adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and other safety characteristics that are just found in Acura MDX standard options.

The space and the luxury of the 2020 Cadillac XT6 inner cabin is quite a sight!

To get an all-wheel drive option in the Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury, you might have to pay an extra $2000. This is coupled with some available safety packages. It also includes a $1300 worth of driver assist package that contains lots of the safety features we mentioned earlier on. These safety features also include a $2350 worth of Enhanced Visibility and Technological package with an additional digital gauge cluster, 360 degrees camera system and Heads Up Display (HUD). It will also involve a $4,900 worth of package (Platinum) that comprises exotic and plusher interior trimmings.

2020 Cadillac XT6: Here's What You Need To Know About This Brand New Caddy!

Talking about the Sport trims, it has only an option of all-wheel drive. To get the Sport trim, you need to cough out entry fee of $58000. It is pre-installed with a more advanced torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. It has a better and quicker steering ratio compared with the earlier discussed Premium Luxury model. The sport version of XT6 distinguishes itself from the visual through its darker exterior accents and an interior that contains carbon-fiber-look-trim. You can also see some of these packages on the Premium Luxury trim. So when you add the Platinum package with some independent options such as the $2000 Night Vision System, you might find yourself rounding up the entire buying price to $73, 740. That means in Nigeria, that is approximately 26 million naira.

Whether you are thinking of buying the Premium Luxury trim or the Sport Trim, it might look cheaper to get the standard version and starts cruising around town, but it is better and recommended you get the fully loaded version for the best driving experience.
