FRSC reveals how to apply for driver license using Bypass Capture Scheme

FRSC has disclosed how to apply for a driver license with the Bypass Capture scheme. Check how you can utilize the convenient procedure online now!

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised Nigerian drivers who are looking to renew their driver’s licenses to do so, by using the FRSC Bypass Capture Scheme.

The Public Education Officer of FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, took time to explain the process involved through a written statement.

According to Mr.Kazeem, applicants should follow this first step to renew the license using the Bypass Capture scheme.

Visit the NDL portal
Select the type of application you want. Here, there are two options. Renewal or Reissue.
Provide your driver's license number.
Provide your date of birth

"The applicant also selects “NO” where the page requests if an applicant wants to recapture his biometric information, submits the application, makes payment either online or at the bank and prints out the payment acknowledgment slip together with the application form (these will be required to collect the permanent licence."

You can now forget the strenuous task of applying for driver's license at FRSC office

Mr. Kadeem stated that the Bypass Capture scheme was introduced by FRSC, on National Drivers License portal to make it easier for drivers to obtain their license and save time as well.

He, however, pointed out that driver’s eligibility for the Bypass Capture will be needed before payment is being made oneline and again, to collect the permanent driver license at the collection center when it’s ready.
